More importantly, asymmetric encryption also supports digital signature algorithms and authentication, unlike symmetric encryption. Even if a hacker gains access to a public key, there's no risk of them using it for decrypting the data (since the public key is used for encryption only), as they don't know the private keys. However, a significant reason why asymmetric encryption is considered more secure and reliable is because it doesn't involve the exchange of public keys between multiple parties. It's important to understand that the security of either lies primarily on the size of the key. Why Is Asymmetric Encryption Considered More Secure?Īsymmetric encryption can be carried out automatically or manually, depending on the key's length. The most common types of asymmetric encryption include: Every authorized party in this exchange has their own private key that they can use to decrypt information. Even the sender doesn't know the private key and can't decrypt the file once it is sent. It's important to understand that the private key is only known to the person who owns it. Thus, when a message is encrypted and sent using the public key, a private key must also be required to decrypt it fully. But, the second key is kept secret, so only you know that one. While there's a mathematical relationship between the public and the private key, hackers can't derive the private key using the information from the public key.įor instance, you can make available a public key to anyone who wishes to send you a message. But, in order to decrypt the actual message and read it, the parties must have access to the private key. Good for a short read, good for some beatuiful art, and good for the things you normally look for in Borderline H material. The public key is available to all parties, and is used for decrypting the plain text message before it is sent. Overall: An excellent collection of short stories all around. Other than that, though, there's some really endearing characters here. There's some cognitive issues with some of the decisions they make, which is pretty much the same complaint as what I mentioned in the story - there's some unconvincing motives invovled that get handwaved away in order for the plot to continue. They have clear character traits that make them feel unique and important, as well as enough background to provide context to the situation. The only downside is the author's love for the motion blur tool during action scenes, but this time around he's really toned it down compared to his previous works, and it dramatically improves the visual clarity of the scenes.Ĭharacters: Amusing and adorable couples appear in almost all of the segments (I wasn't a big fan of the Shoulder Angel/Demon story). There is gorgeous detail in every panel, both in the character designs as well as in the background and scenery.
For the sake of making the story happen there's a lot of things that get somewhat glossed-over or are just outright lampshaded.Īrt: By far the best from this author, and some of the best you'll find for the genre. However, there's a lot of suspension of disbelief that needs to be involved in order for the stories to happen, and I'm not just talking about the various surprise elements that can be a bit outlandish. Each segment feels like it has a clearly defined story that follows a plotline, develps the characters, and has a satisfying ending. Story: Surprisingly well fleshed-out for such short stories. A deliciously amusing collection of short stories revolving around some sort of surprise element that brings two characters together romantically.
